This piece is inspired by the contrasting nature of fire and water. Our lives present similar conflicting moments, and this painting is a reminder to internally reflect during these instants. I created "Ignite" in purpose to bring you peace in your reflections and in your life choices. 

I used heavy body paint to create the movement of flames and spilled organic shapes of watercolor for an effect of transparent water. I painted thin army green mark makings as a symbolic representation of nature and fluorescent fuchsia strokes in a beaming notion as to light in the fire. This contemporary fine art painting captures a balanced aesthetic and presents you carefully thought out reflections.
